In an interview with CBS News this week, Cook reflected on his “legacy” as Apple CEO.
The interview took place in Houston this week, coinciding with the opening of Apple’s new Advanced Manufacturing Center .
CBS News' Jo Ling Kent : “As you look back on your time as CEO, in a word, what have you stood for?”
Tim Cook : “You're asking a legacy question, and it's a good question. But in my view, your legacy is described by others, not yourself. And so I hope that people say I was a good and decent man. And if they say that at the end of the day, I feel like I have achieved something.”
In the interview, Apple COO Sabih Khan was also asked about the recent price increases on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other products:
“There's a component, memory, that is rising at an unprecedented rate in a very short amount of time. And we're not immune to that. And we're working with our supply chain to, you know, find a way out of this.”
