While Jahan Dotson and Zachariah Branch will look to fill this role in 2026, the team should explore all options.
As we previously examined, there are still a few decent free-agent wide receivers available. Plus, general manager Ian Cunningham clearly isn't afraid to make a trade, which might be the team's best option ahead of training camp.
Bleacher Report listed the Falcons as an ideal landing spot for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman.
"2023 third-round pick Cedric Tillman once looked like a long-term contributor for the Browns, but now, he appears to be on the roster bubble," wrote Kristopher Knox . "Tillman had a bit of a breakout in 2024, racking up 330 yards in a five-game stretch before suffering a season-ending concussion. He was merely a role player this past season, and now, he's probably buried on the depth chart."
Theoretically, this move would make sense for both teams. Stefanski knows Tillman well from their time together in Cleveland, and the Falcons clearly have a need for another capable wide receiver. Adding Tillman as a fourth option behind Drake London, Jahan Dotson and Zachariah Branch would be a low-risk, high-upside move for Atlanta.
"While Tillman could potentially stick as a fourth or fifth receiver and a core special-teamer, he should be hoping for a better opportunity to play," Knox added. "He's still only 26 years old, and he'll get his first taste of free agency in 2027. Teams lacking receiver depth and in position to bet on a younger receiver should be interested."
Tillman's career stats aren't overly impressive (71 catches for 833 receiving yards and five touchdowns), but his experience with Stefanski's system could benefit the other wide receivers as the team.
The Falcons also added veteran Olamide Zaccheaus, though this group still feels incomplete as the team prepares to kick off training camp next week. We wouldn't be surprised to see Atlanta add another camp body, whether it's via trade or as a free agent.
The team's first camp practice is this Wednesday, July 29, giving Cunningham a few days to make a move.
