There is much anxiety at Barcelona surrounding the future of Ferran Torres, whose heroics at the World Cup have significantly upped his stock.
Ferran has been closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, who are ready to utilise his contract situation at Camp Nou.
Barcelona are not too keen on letting Ferran leave , having already parted ways with Robert Lewandowski earlier in the summer. But the club have a plan.

According to Diario SPORT , Barcelona have identified Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani as a backup option should Ferran end up departing this summer.

At 23 and standing at 1.91 metres, Asllani offers physical power, high pressing and enormous room for improvement, along with the ability to finish with both feet and pose a genuine aerial threat in both boxes.
The forward registered 10 goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga last season, emerging as one of the division’s brightest young strikers after a steady rise through loan spells at Austria Vienna and Elversberg.
Crucially, his €29 million release clause is not seen as an obstacle. Barcelona could complete the deal without needing to sell first, and would even look to negotiate a lower fee.
Asllani would arrive primarily as a rotation option behind priority target Julian Alvarez, though his affordability means the club may not rule him out even if Ferran stays.

The report suggests Asllani is ready to wait for Barcelona as well.
Asllani has a near-finalised agreement in place with RB Leipzig, but has asked for time in the hope that Barcelona firm up their interest.
His affection for the club is no secret, with the striker having previously been pictured alongside Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez back in December.
The problem, however, is time. While there is no strict deadline, Leipzig are pushing hard to complete a deal that is already well advanced, and German pressure could soon force Asllani into a decision.
For now, the ball is firmly in Barcelona’s court. The player wants to wait, but he knows that patience has its limits, and much may ultimately depend on how the Ferran situation unfolds in the coming weeks.
