Luke Littler took home yet another major title this past week, winning the 2026 World Matchplay of Darts .

Everything about his game, from his scoring to finishing, was on point, and he's arguably in the best form of his young career.

As Littler has done many times before, he made history on the oche this past week, so let's dive into some of the major feats he accomplished.

Here are some of the most notable stats from the week in Blackpool.

Highest ever Matchplay event average

Entering this year's event, the legendary Phil Taylor held the record for highest Matchplay event average, at 106.31, set in 2010.

Littler managed to demolish that previous record, finishing with an average of 111.04 across his five matches in the last week.

Littler managed to average over 109.50 in all five matches, with his highest single-match average coming in the second round when he played Nathan Aspinall in a memorable thriller (113.68 average vs. Aspinall).

Joins elite company after second title

Littler lifted the trophy in Blackpool for the second time in his career, which now puts his name next to a group of elite darts players who have had past success in this event.

Littler joins Phil Taylor (16), Michael van Gerwen (3) and Rod Harrington (2) as the only players to win two or more Matchplay titles.

He's also the fourth player to achieve the back-to-back feat, which all three players above have done as well.

9-darter history

Littler hit a 9-darter in a historic leg against Josh Rock last year at the Matchplay, and managed to hit another one this year, this time against Nathan Aspinall.

This perfect leg from Littler ties Phil Taylor for the most career 9-darters at the event (2).

He nearly hit a third career one in Blackpool a few legs after he hit one in the second round, but just missed outside of the double for perfection.

Highest Matchplay final average

Littler was great all week long, and capped off his campaign with an average of 111.53 against Gerwyn Price in the final.

He was averaging north of 115 for a while, but still managed to finish with a number good enough to set the record for highest winning average in a Matchplay final.

The previous record was Taylor's 111.23, set in the 2013 Matchplay final.

£3,000,000+ on the OoM

During the week in Blackpool, Littler surpassed the £3,000,000 mark on the Main OoM rankings from the last 24 months.

He's now the first player to pass that mark, which shows how much the sport is growing and how special a talent the 19-year-old is.

180 tournament record

Littler finished with 66 180s across the week, which is also a new record.

Ironically, he broke his own previous record that he set at the event last year, increasing the previous amount by a couple of legs.

His 66 180s in 107 legs means that during the tournament he was hitting a maximum in 61.7% of legs played.
