A series of miscues in the third inning ushered the Dodgers some separation that the Mets could not recover from. Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Nolan McLean both turned in quality starts but the Mets fell 4-3 despite a late two-run double from Tyrone Taylor.
The Mets will now try and avoid a sweep and a four-game losing streak in the series finale at 1:40 p.m. on Sunday at Citi Field.
