Caleb has been seen in many top-10 quarterback rankings lists, but there still are some experts who remain hesitant about the Chicago Bears ' main man under center.
In a recent article , Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick rank the best quarterbacks in the league entering this season, and they are not as high on Caleb Williams as many others. Here is what they had to say about ranking Caleb 13th:
"Williams made the sophomore leap many hoped for after the Bears hired Ben Johnson as head coach. “Iceman” led Chicago to its first Divisional Round appearance in 15 years and recorded 37 big-time throws, second among NFL quarterbacks behind league MVP Matthew Stafford.
The cover athlete for Madden NFL 27 is still a bit of a gunslinger, as his negatively graded throw rate ranked 38th at the position. Even so, Williams is trending in the right direction and appears well on his way to living up to the immense expectations that came with being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft."
Caleb Williams' talent is inevitable, and he is already one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the league. He has some weaknesses in his game that some analysts cannot overlook. Even if he is not ranked in your top ten quarterbacks list, it cannot be denied that Caleb Williams is trending in the right direction. Whether or not he is the best analytical quarterback, there are still many franchises that would take Caleb Williams in a heartbeat. Whether or not it is after last season or this upcoming season, everyone will have to buy into the Caleb Williams hype. With the direction he is trending, this will be the lowest ranking for Caleb Williams that will be seen again.
