Yan Diomande has been left out of the RB Leipzig squad today as his high-profile transfer to Real Madrid enters its final stages, reports Fabrizio Romano .
The 19-year-old forward was not even included on the substitutes’ bench for today’s pre-season friendly match against SC Verl, a clear indicator that his move to the Spanish capital is imminent.
Not travelling to pre-season camp
Meanwhile, Florian Plettenberg reports that Diomande officially reported in sick to RB Leipzig management this morning.
As a direct result of his medical report, the player was left out of the squad against SC Verl and is no longer expected to travel with the rest of the first-team squad to their pre-season training camp in Austria later today.

Diomande has already verbally agreed to personal contract terms with Real Madrid since last weekend and has mentally moved on from his career in Germany.
His main focus is now on ensuring a final agreement between the two clubs so he can avoid any further team duties with Leipzig.
Waiting for the green light
The Ivory Coast international is currently waiting for the upper management of RB Leipzig to give their definitive green light so he can fly to Spain.
Once the final clearance is granted, Diomande will travel immediately to Madrid to undergo his routine medical examinations and sign his formal long-term contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid’s executives are pushing intensively behind the scenes to reach a total financial agreement with Leipzig’s directors in the coming hours.
Real Madrid’s latest proposal is expected to reach a total value of around €120 million including performance-related variables, a fee that would make the teenage winger one of the most expensive signings in the history of the Spanish club.
Head coach Jose Mourinho is eager to integrate the forward into his pre-season training sessions as soon as possible to prepare him for the upcoming campaign.
And, everything seems to indicate that Diomande is on track to signing for Real Madrid and a move could be imminent despite the delays along the way.
