The preseason accolades keep coming for Florida football junior running Jadan Baugh,
On August 18, the 6-foot-1, 228-pound Baugh was named to the Doak Walker Award preseason watch list, given to college football's best running back.
Baugh, entering his third year with the Florida Gators , started all 12 games for UF in 2025 and led the team with 1,170 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 185 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Baugh's 10 total TDs on the season also led the Gators in 2025, while his 1,170 rushing yards ranked third in the SEC, 14 th in the FBS, and the sixth most in a season in UF history.
In the 2025 season finale against Florida State, Baugh ran for 266 yards, the second-most in a game in program history and most against Florida State, to surpass 1,000 yards.
This is Baugh’s second straight year being named to the Doak Walker preseason watch list and his third preseason watch list he’s been named to in 2026. Overall, it's Baugh’s eighth preseason honor this year which includes being named an ESPN first-team preseason All-American and to the Preseason All-SEC team as the second team running back and third-team all-purpose player.
The award is named for SMU’s three-time All-America running back Doak Walker. The PwC SMU Athletic Forum will name 10 semifinalists in November, and three finalists will also be announced in November. The committee will cast a second vote in December to determine the recipient.
The national selection committee for the Doak Walker Award consists of past recipients, former NFL All-Pro and college All-America running backs, media members and selected special representatives. The recipient of the 2026 Doak Walker Award will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards on December 10, 2026.

Florida football P Alec Clark named to Ray Guy Award watch list
Florida redshirt Junior punter Alec Clark has been named to the Ray Guy Award preseason Watch List, given to college football's best punter.
Clark, a transfer from Tulane, enters his first season with the UF in 2026. In 2025, Clark played in all 14 games for Tulane, logging 48 punts for a career-best 46.5 yards per punt.
Clark had 16 punts that were inside the opponents 20-yard line. He was named first team All-AAC in 2025 and was named to the Shriners Children’s East-West Bowl 1000 list earlier this month.
New Florida special teams coach Jonathan Galante coached Clark when he was at both Marshall and Tulane, aiding Clark's development.
"It’s awesome having here now," Galante said. "He’s mastering the position."
The candidates on the list incorporate a broad spectrum of FBS punters and were compiled based on previous Ray Guy Award Semifinalists, 2025 All-American, and All-Conference selections, top performing punters, and 2026 preseason All-American, and preseason All-Conference selections.
A final watch list will be announced in early November, and the Ray Guy Award committee will meet to select the 10 semifinalists in mid-November. The top three finalists will be announced in late November. After the finalists are named, the voting body will cast ballots again to select the nation’s top punter. The winner will be announced live during The Home Depot College Football Awards airing on ESPN in December.

Florida football LB Myles Graham named to Butkus Award list
Junior Florida linebacker Myles Graham has been named to the Butkus Award preseason watch list, given to college football's best linebacker.
After earning freshman All-SEC honors in 2024, Graham started every game for the UF and led the team with 76 tackles (36 solo) in 2025. The 6-foot-1, 228-pound Graham also posted eight quarterback hurries, a team-high seven tackles for loss, four pass breakups and two sacks.
Graham was one of four players in the SEC to post 75-plus tackles and 7.0-plus tackles-for-loss in the regular season. His four pass breakups were tied for second most among FBS linebackers.
Founded in 1985, the Butkus Award honots the nation’s top lonebackers at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels while preserving the legacy of Dick Butkus through excellence in football, cardiovascular health advocacy and youth character development.
The 51-member Butkus Award Selection Committee is comprised of coaches, professional scouts, former players, and members of the media from across the country. The semifinalists for the award will be announced on Oct. 28, with the finalists being selected on Nov. 20. The winner be revealed during the week of Dec. 7.
Florida football RB Jadan Baugh, WR Vernell Brown III named to Hornung Award list
Two Florida players − sophomore wide receiver Vernell Brown III and Baugh − were name to the Paul Hornung Award watch list, the Louisville Sports Commission announced on Monday, August 10.
Since 2010, The Paul Hornung Award is given annually by the Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) to the most versatile player in major college football.
Hornung is considered by many the most versatile player in the history of college and pro football. He won the 1956 Heisman Trophy at quarterback for Notre Dame and was the number one pick in the 1957 NFL draft. During Hornung's career with the Irish, he played every position in the backfield, where he also punted, kicked, returned kicks, and played defensive back.
