Aaron Rodgers took a shot at Dr. Anthony Fauci on Monday in response to him pleading the Fifth Amendment throughout his entire hearing last week.
Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution more than 100 times during last weeks hearing on Capitol Hill, refusing to answer any questions about his leadership throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Republican lawmakers accused Fauci of endangering the public with his guidance and even using the pandemic to enrich himself.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show , Rodgers was asked about his mindset going into what he claimed will be his final season in the NFL. In response, Rodgers immediately launched into an attack on the former Chief Medical Advisor to the President.
“I’m going to plead the fifth,” Rodgers said as McAfee and his teammates began to laugh, “like that absolute coward Tony Fauci. Absolute coward. Are you kidding me? You got a pardon and you pleaded over 100 times at the White House? What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science. I thought you were, ‘I am science,’ and you get up there and you can’t answer a question? What are we doing?”

Rodgers then went on to call out the mainstream media over its relative lack of coverage on the hearing, accusing them of focusing more on his previous comments about Fauci and Covid-19.
“How much time did they spend on my responses every week, on my vaccination status, on Taylor and Travis’s wedding?” Rodgers continued. “Did they do even a minute? Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci?”
