Add Page Six on Google Rosie O'Donnell is taking Mounjaro at "a slow pace."
The former talk show host opened up about her weight-loss drug dosage on Monday's episode of the "Bleep! With Ana Navarro" podcast .
"I [did] the lowest dose for a year … 2.5 [milligrams]," the 64-year-old, who has shed approximately 60 pounds in three years, told listeners. "Then I did a year at 5, and now I’m just finishing a year at 7.5.”
The ex-"View" co-host only plans to up the dosage "one more time" before leaving it alone.
"I wanted to go slow because I know that it overwhelms me when I have lost [weight] quick before," she explained of "everyone's reaction."
O'Donnell continued, “I like doing it at a slow pace. I like how it feels that I’m not sick, that I’ve never had any kind of side effects.”
When Ana Navarro asked whether the actress has ever "had to run to the bathroom" because of the GLP-1, O'Donnell doubled down.
"Never,” the Daytime Emmy winner replied. “But again, I did a year on 2.5. The doctor kept saying, ‘I want you to go up,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m fine as it is.’”
O'Donnell first opened up about taking Mounjaro in January 2023, revealing via TikTok that she had been prescribed the medication, as well as Rapatha, two months prior.
"It’s like it alters something in your thought process. … It’s weird," she explained at the time, noting that she didn't think about food "at all" and had a "significantly" lower appetite.
"I really stopped drinking like five or six Diet Cokes a day,” she added. “All I drink is water now. And I’m not eating sugar as much as I can.”
At the time, she had slimmed down 10 pounds — and continued showing off her "new smaller body" via social media in subsequent years.
Most recently, O'Donnell credited the type 2 diabetes drug with "saving" her life .
"I really wish I could do commercials for Mounjaro and they would drop the price instead of paying me,” she told People in a July interview. “Because when I see people struggling with obesity, I want to say I know the shame that we carry and the humiliation that is dealt to people who are overweight.”
O'Donnell shared that she feels “much healthier and more powerful” in her new “physicality.”
