According to a Page Six report , the Indiana Fever guard is reportedly shopping a “tell-all book” to publishers, pitching a proposal in hopes of landing a deal.
The timing couldn’t be more loaded, as just weeks ago, Cunningham stirred national debate by speaking up about her stance against trans athletes in women’s sports.
Cunningham has drawn support from high-profile figures such as Stephen A. Smith, Riley Gaines, XX-XY founder Jennifer Sey, and several Republican politicians. But the backlash has been just as loud, and that tension is fueling speculation about her motives.
One user predicted that Cunningham’s stance could make her future with Indiana uncertain. However, there has been no official indication that the Fever have decided against re-signing her.
“She knows she not getting another contract,” they wrote on X.
Cunningham is currently averaging 8.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game this season. Some fans are reading these stats as a sign that she’s winding down and is using this stretch of attention to set herself up for life after basketball.
