Carla Leite showed off her pregame outfit ahead of Sunday’s WNBA matchup with the Washington Mystics.
The Portland Fire guard wore a beachwear look consisting of a halter-style top and white skirt with ruffled, tiered detailing cascading down to the floor. The outfit quickly caught attention on social media.

The Fire also posted a video showing a trail of pink glitter across the team’s tunnel entrance.
Leite had more than fashion on her mind, though. She entered the matchup as one of Portland’s most important offensive players.
The French guard joined Portland after the franchise selected her in the 2026 WNBA Expansion Draft. She entered the league as the No. 9 pick in 2024.

The 22-year-old entered is enjoying the best statistical season of her young WNBA career. She averages 15.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game through 33 appearances. She also shoots 45.4 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Leite recently showed how dangerous she can become when her shot falls. She scored 23 points in Portland’s 88-85 comeback win over the Phoenix Mercury on Aug. 16. She shot 60.0 percent from the field and added five assists and two steals. Leite also posted a huge performance against Toronto earlier this month. She scored 27 points and dished out 11 assists in Portland’s 97-83 victory over the Toronto Tempo.
Leite had an impressive stint before crossing the pond. She won the 2025 EuroCup Women’s championship with Villeneuve-d’Ascq and earned Finals MVP honors. The Poissy native also earned MVP honors at the 2023 FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship for the French team.
Portland selected Leite from the Golden State Valkyries in 2026. She has since been one of the key pieces of its new roster.
