Rams get revenge on Seahawks en route to Super Bowl in 2026 season predictions
The Los Angeles Rams ’ 2025 season ended in heartbreak at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks . After splitting the regular-season series with one win apiece, the Seahawks took down the Rams in the NFC title game, 31-27.
It was a gutting way for the Rams’ season to end but they enter 2026 with the best odds to win the Super Bowl. And that’s exactly what Nate Davis of USA TODAY has them doing in his season-long predictions.
Davis projected the final record for all 32 teams in the NFL, including the results of each playoff game. In his projections, he has the Rams finishing the season 14-3, earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
In the divisional round, Davis predicts the Rams will get revenge on the Seahawks and bounce them from the playoffs, returning the favor one year later. After advancing to the NFC title game, Davis has Los Angeles beating the Cowboys before taking down the Bills in Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium.
Here’s Davis’ write-up about the Rams for 2026:
(1) Los Angeles Rams (14-3): What else needs to be said about this would-be juggernaut? Sure, reigning MVP Matthew Stafford, 38, must continue to defy Father Time. WR Puka Nacua needs to stay out of the off-field headlines as he tries to convince the organization he's worthy of a bodacious bag. DC Chris Shula has those significant new parts to mesh – and maybe an old one if Donald unretires. At the very minimum, the special teams can’t be an Achilles heel. And the Seahawks remain a bugaboo. Still, the Rams have won 20 of their last 28 games, many of the losses over that stretch of the fluky variety, and have more star power than any team in the league. Anything less than a Lombardi would be a disappointment – especially since Stafford’s age and several expiring contracts, Nacua’s chief among them, could necessitate a drastically altered roster in 2027.
The Rams might be the only team in the NFL with true Super Bowl-or-bust expectations this season. Sure, there will be a lot of teams disappointed by coming up short of a championship, but with the roster the Rams have constructed, anything short of a ring will be a major letdown.
It won’t be an easy road to the playoffs, either. They have the Seahawks and 49ers twice each, while also facing the Chiefs, Bills, Eagles, Packers, Cowboys and Broncos. It’s one of the toughest schedules in football on paper, but one the Rams are capable of navigating.
