Confirmed: Barcelona youngster successfully registered with first team in La Liga
Hector Fort has officially been registered as a FC Barcelona first-team player on La Liga’s website, marking another important step in his return to the club following last season’s loan spell at Elche.
The 20-year-old defender also appears as a first-team player for the first time, underlining the club’s intention to keep him within Hansi Flick’s senior squad for the time being.
Fort spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Elche, where he made 17 appearances in all competitions.

Despite missing close to four months with a shoulder injury, the academy graduate impressed whenever available, contributing three goals and two assists while gaining valuable experience in senior football.
The spell is viewed as an important stage in his development ahead of his return to Barcelona.
Future still to be decided
Although Fort has now been officially registered with the first team, his long-term future at Barcelona remains open.

He featured in the Catalans’ opening pre-season friendly against CE Europa and is currently part of the squad training at St. George’s Park in England, where Hansi Flick is continuing to assess his options ahead of the new season.

For now, though, the La Masia graduate remains committed to staying at the club , and has been registered as a first-team player successfully.
