It has been seen as a very solid signing, despite his injury problems during the last two years. He is considered an elite or near-elite defender, and over the last couple of seasons, he has become a very good, if not an outstanding, 3-point shooter.
The 6-foot-5 wing signed with the Lakers on Monday and is now officially a member of the team. He will wear jersey No. 26 for the Purple and Gold.

— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) July 28, 2026 Thybulle has career averages of five points, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks in 20.6 minutes a game over his seven seasons in the NBA. He shot 41.1% from 3-point range over the last two seasons, but during that time, he appeared in just 45 games.
However, Thybulle never missed more than 17 games in any of his first five seasons in the league. In his first two campaigns, he played in 130 of a possible 145 games as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers .
