Things got significantly more competitive at Thursday's practice with real contact allowed for the first time this summer. The Patriots focused on one-on-one work with skilled position players and defensive backs, along with trench work between offensive linemen and defensive linemen.
Some of the standouts on Day 5 were quarterback Drake Maye, wide receiver A.J. Brown, defensive tackle Cory Durden, wideout Kyle Williams and tight end Eli Raridon. It was the best practice to date for the connection between Maye and Brown. We'll see if they can build on that on Day 6.
