IND vs SL Test series: India's departure schedule, travel plans, and squad update ahead of Sri Lanka tour
India's Test squad is set to depart for Sri Lanka this week, with several players sweating it out in Mumbai before the tour gets underway.
Ahead of the two-match series, openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal were seen training together in the nets on Monday, August 3, just a day before the team's scheduled flight.
They were working specifically on facing spin bowling given the conditions expected on the island. They faced a mix of left-arm spinners, leg-spinners, and off-spinners drawn from Mumbai's domestic pool, including seasoned campaigner Tanush Kotian.
"They've been coming here regularly over the past few days. Jaiswal was here two days ago, KL came yesterday, and today they trained together," Jatin Paranjape, a former India selector, told Cricbuzz . "It's not surprising that they were practising against spin, given the conditions they expect to encounter in the series."

When is India's scheduled departure to Sri Lanka?
According to Cricbuzz , most of the players named for the Sri Lanka tour have already gathered in Mumbai, with the squad set to board a chartered flight to Colombo late on Tuesday evening.
There remains some uncertainty around Sai Sudharsan's travel plans, since his selection was always conditional on receiving fitness clearance. It is expected that he might join the squad sometime later in the week.
