According to SNY's Chelsea Janes, Minter will be dealt to the Minnesota Twins.
Multiple reports have the Mets receiving prospects Bruin Agbayani and Billy Amick in the trade.
Agbayani, the Twins' No. 29 prospect and the son of former Met Benny Agbayani, was selected in the sixth round of the 2025 draft. He's spent his whole minor league career in Low-A, where he's played at shortstop and second base. This season, he's slashed .266/.412/.341 with an OPS of .753 in 10 games. However, his season has been marred by an injury he sustained in May.
Amick is the Twins' No. 21 prospect and has played at third and first. He was drafted in the second round of the 2024 draft out of Tennessee. In 86 games this season with the Twins' Double-A affiliate, Amick is slashing .217/.338/.482 with an OPS of 820 to go along with his 23 home runs.
Minter, who signed with the Mets ahead of the 2025 season, missed most of last year due to a serious lat injury that required surgery.
His return to the mound has been great for the Mets, pitching to a 2.35 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP across 23 appearances this season.
Minter is set for free agency after this season.
