We are with them at the Greenbrier Resort Sports Performance Center to cover it all for NorthJersey.com and The Record.
The Giants have practiced three days in a row while in full pads, so John Harbaugh indicated earlier this week that Thursday's session would be more of a mental day. Expect the players to be in shells, and we'll see how much physicality there will be with this one and two more sessions left before the Giants head back home to New Jersey.
Here's what we're seeing and hearing as the Harbaugh Era continues:
Injury updates: Brian Burns, Dru Phillips, Malachi Fields statuses
Giants star outside linebacker Brian Burns was held out of practice Wednesday, but Harbaugh said he would have practiced had this been a game week. Burns is notorious for being a maniac in practice and in training camp, so this could be a way of the team slowing him down. He was moving slowly at times on Tuesday; we'll see if he's back.
Cornerback Dru Phillips left practice after suffering a lower leg injury during team drills. Harbaugh downplayed that situation as well and believes it's something "small." Ar'Darius Washington and Greg Newsome played in the slot more extensively once Phillips left practice.
Rookie Malachi Fields has had a great camp and participated in individual drills Wednesday, but Harbaugh said the Giants pulled back some, perhaps a lighter load after a ton of work over the past week.
