See the full story · 3 sourcesIt wasn't the best of nights for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, and the guard is aware of it.
With the Indiana Fever up 74-72 on the Las Vegas Aces and Clark at the line shooting two free throws with under five seconds left in regulation, the superstar guard missed the pair. Then the Aces tied. In overtime? Clark's turnover led to Chelsea Gray's game-winning three-pointer.
After the contest, Clark took responsibility for what went down at the free-throw line.
“That just can’t happen,” Clark said Thursday night, via the Indianapolis Star . “Those are free throws I usually make, and certainly frustrating. Obviously, one of them gives us a two-possession lead, and kind of cost my team there for sure. So, that’s on me.”
On to the next one. The Fever are 19-12 and currently second in the Eastern Conference.
