One of Michael Jordan’s former Chicago Bulls teammates is thrilled with the franchise’s recent choice to draft Caleb Wilson.
Wilson was the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, joining the fledgling Bulls as the franchise ties their hopes for the future around him.
And one man who found immense success with the Bulls during their dynasty years has called Wilson a great draft pick, one of the best since the last great Bulls pick.

Horace Grant says Caleb Wilson one of the best NBA draft picks since Derrick Rose
Speaking to Action Network recently, former NBA champion Horace Grant praised the Chicago Bulls for drafting Caleb Wilson.
He had a lot of positive things to say about the former University of North Carolina standout, calling him the best NBA draft pick since Derrick Rose, while not being on the level of Michael Jordan.
“Oh my goodness, man. What a beast. What a freakin’ beast. He has all the intangibles, the skillset. But what I love about him is that he has the mindset of a killer. A dog.
“He goes out and gets it. It’s one of the best draft picks since Derrick Rose. I’m not going to put him with MJ, myself and Pip.
“But since Derrick Rose, one of the greatest choices the Bulls have made, in my humble opinion.”
Grand has been an advocate of Wilson for a long time, even singing his praises before the NBA Draft and publicly advocating for the Bulls to select him.
During his time at UNC, Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, making a name for himself with some standout performances.
Of course, fans will be excited about Wilson because of his days at UNC, primarily because of the commonalities he shares with Michael Jordan.
Much like Wilson, Jordan played for the University of North Carolina basketball team, even winning an NCAA National Championship during his time there.
If Wilson can come even close to what his fellow UNC alumnus Jordan did with the Bulls, he will go down as one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise.
