Thus, many urged the Los Angeles Rams to consider signing Samuel, suggesting he would be the offensive addition the team had been lacking to complete the roster.
Those suggestions no longer matter as Samuel has re-signed with the 49ers on a one-year deal worth up to $7 million, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

For the Rams, they will play the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia, to open the 2026 season. Samuel's wide back role, allowing the 49ers to use him as a receiver and running back, has caused issues for Los Angeles in prior years.
