Midfield reshuffle underway
Rodri’s arrival, which could be completed over the weekend, will leave Barcelona with an even more crowded midfield.

Within the club, there is little doubt that Tommy needs regular first-team football to continue his development.
With competition in Barcelona’s midfield set to increase even further after Rodri’s arrival, meaningful minutes will be difficult to find. His potential departure, however, is about more than playing time.
Barcelona also sees the academy graduate as an opportunity to raise additional transfer funds that can be reinvested elsewhere in the squad.
The La Masia graduate has a €20 million release clause, although the club is willing to negotiate a deal for a significantly lower fee.

Interest growing across Europe
Several clubs have already been linked with the midfielder.
Reports have suggested interest from Manchester City , Borussia Dortmund and SC Braga, with the Portuguese side believed to be one of the strongest contenders.
According to the report, Braga would be prepared to structure a deal similar to last summer’s move for Pau Victor, which was worth €12 million plus a further €3 million in add-ons.
Casado could follow
Tommy is unlikely to be the only midfielder heading for the exit. Marc Casadó also remains one of the leading candidates to leave Barcelona before the transfer window closes.
Negotiations over his future are still ongoing, but the expectation is that the academy graduate will move to Saudi Arabia in a deal worth around €40 million.
Should both transfers go through, Barcelona would secure another significant financial boost as Deco continues to reshape the squad around Flick’s new project.
