Doc Rivers, one of the greatest coaches in NBA history, will be honored for his years of service during Saturday's Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
A former All-Star as a player, Rivers joined the Celtics as a coach ahead of the 2004-05 season. He reached the NBA Finals twice with Boston, winning a title in 2008 and falling to the Lakers in 2010. In nine seasons with the Celtics, Rivers had an overall record of 416-305.
Rivers, who also served as the head coach of the Bucks, Clippers, Magic and 76ers, ranks sixth on the all-time wins list behind Gregg Popovich, Don Nelson, Lenny Wilkens, Jerry Sloan and Pat Riley.
