Real Madrid are in advanced stages to complete the signing of French winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, with the clubs finalising a transfer package valued at up to €132 million.
Indeed, according to the latest update from ESPN’s Rodra , the total economic structure of the operation comprises a guaranteed fixed fee of €122 million, alongside an additional €10 million structured in performance-related variables.
The agreed sum represents a historic financial layout for the Spanish capital club.
If the additional variables are fully achieved over the course of his contract, Diomande will become the most expensive signing in Real Madrid’s history, surpassing the previous record fees paid to Borussia Dortmund for Jude Bellingham and to Chelsea for Eden Hazard.

The significant investment follows the 19-year-old winger’s exceptional breakthrough season in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, where he recorded 12 goals and eight assists across 35 appearances last year.
His market value was further enhanced by his strong individual performances for the Ivory Coast during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he created 11 goalscoring chances in four appearances before their elimination in the Round of 32.

Diomande had already verbally agreed to personal contract terms with Real Madrid last weekend, choosing a move to the Santiago Bernabeu over strong competing interest from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
With the financial framework of €122 million fixed plus €10 million in add-ons now established between the two club boards, Leipzig are preparing to grant the final green light.
The player is currently waiting for the official clearance to fly to the Spanish capital to undergo his mandatory medical examinations and sign a long-term contract with Real Madrid.
