They say that music is the universal language, but so, you could argue, is beer.
From IPAs to stout, pale ales, pilsner, porter, dark lagers, sours and more, just about everywhere in the world has its signature type of brew. That’s exactly why the global calendar features a very special holiday each year: International Beer Day, which in 2026 is taking place on Friday (Aug. 7). It’s the perfect date to gather some friends and celebrate over your beer — and receptacle, whether it’s a plastic cup, glass, bottle, can or funnel — of choice.
