North Oldham Little League , Kentucky's representative team out of La Grange, fell to Ohio 11-4 on Monday, Aug. 10 . It allowed West Side Little League to find nine of its 11 runs in the second inning, including a two-run homer by Xander Kinkade, which bolstered the production. The loss came after Kentucky opened the tournament with a 12-2 win over Illinois on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Kentucky will now look to bounce back against Indiana with its Little League World Series run on the line. Should it fall to Jasper National Little League, its season will end.
Indiana is coming off an 11-5 win over Michigan , with eight of its 11 runs coming in the first two innings.
The last time a team from Kentucky won the LLWS was in 2002, when Valley Sports American Little League out of Louisville claimed it all. The title from 24 years ago is the only one the Bluegrass State holds.
