I was worried at first, but SummerSlam 2026 came together decently. All the go-home shows are in the books. All the pre-event mic work is over. It's time for two nights of professional wrestling from the premier promotion in the world in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Let's talk wrestling.

What Time Does WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night 1 Start?
Night 1 begins at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 1 from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. That's 5 p.m. CT, 4 p.m. MT and 3 p.m. PT. Night 2 runs the same 6 p.m. ET start on Sunday.
In the United States the show streams on the ESPN App and requires an ESPN Unlimited plan. International viewers get it on Netflix. Match order has not been confirmed by WWE, so the 6 p.m. ET figure is the card start rather than a guide to when any individual bout begins.

Six-man tag: LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys vs. The Bloodline (Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu)
Six-woman tag: The Bella Twins and Paige vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid)

The Two Main Events Problem
It feels like Night 1 has two main events. Punk-Rhodes is the official headliner, and it could be epic — especially if Rhodes turns heel. However, Femi-Lesnar might be the biggest non-title match in recent WWE history. That one definitely feels like a main event.
Lesnar and Femi are settling a trilogy inside Hell in a Cell, which is the structural reason it carries main event weight without a belt attached. Liv Morgan's title defense against IYO SKY adds a third bout with a legitimate claim on the closing slot, since it's Morgan's first televised defense of the reign.
The Match Most People Will Underrate
If you're looking for a match that could steal the show, keep an eye on Gunther vs. Nick Aldis. I know it's been three years since Aldis wrestled and many who only pay attention to WWE may not be aware of how good he was when he was active. Aldis can work and he's an excellent storyteller in the ring. This one will be physical and Aldis might just surprise some people.
Aldis makes his in-ring WWE debut here after joining the company in 2023 as SmackDown General Manager, following long runs in TNA and NWA. Gunther is the kind of opponent who rewards a technical worker, which is the argument for this being the best match on the card rather than a curiosity.
