Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham will play their first competitive game of the 2026/27 season on Friday.
The Red Dragons have spent the summer on a pre-season tour of the United States, which included matches with Liverpool and Leeds United.
Wrexham are now set to kick off their Carabao Cup campaign on August 7 against fellow Championship side Middlesbrough.

The match is a first-round League Cup game and will be held at the Riverside Stadium on Friday, August 7.
In the United Kingdom, fans will be able to watch Middlesbrough vs Wrexham on ITV1, Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.
The clash is scheduled to kick off at 8pm local time, meaning an earlier start for fans in the United States.
For American supporters, they can watch Rob and Ryan’s team in action via Paramount+, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm ET.
Elsewhere, BeIN Sports will be showing the Carabao Cup fixture in Australia, with a 5:30am AEST kick-off time.
This meeting is a repeat of Wrexham’s final game of 2025/26, which saw them held to a 2-2 draw by Middlesbrough.
After failing to win that match, the Dragons missed out on a place in the Championship play-offs, which were ultimately won by Hull City.
Both Boro and Wrexham will now have designs on securing a top-eight place in the upcoming league campaign, which starts on Friday, August 14.
Phil Parkinson’s side will play rivals Cardiff City in their first Championship tie of the season on August 17.
