No. 3 Tulsa Oilers vs. No. 1 Green Bay Blizzard (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, Yahoo Sports)
After securing a dominant 73-59 win over the Orlando Pirates in the first round of the playoffs last weekend, the top-seeded Green Bay Blizzard will be back on their home turf, looking to dispatch the No. 3 Tulsa Oilers en route to the championship game. Tulsa, meanwhile, upset the No. 2 Jacksonville Sharks last Saturday in a close one, 31-28.
In their only matchup during the regular season, the Blizzard beat the Oilers 41-35 on May 16 — so these teams are not the most familiar with each other. Both teams boast members of the newly announced All-Rookie Team — RB Kairee Robinson (Green Bay) and DB Justin Harrington (Tulsa).
No. 3 Arizona Rattlers vs. No. 1 San Diego Strike Force (Sunday, 7:30 p.m. ET, Yahoo Sports)
While the Rattlers, who knocked off the reigning champ Vegas Knight Hawks last week, are looking to secure their second IFL title in three seasons, the Strike Force will be looking for their first. And they have solid momentum, having beaten the Tucson Sugar Skulls in the first round — not to mention defeating Arizona three times in the regular season. The most recent of those games was the final one before the playoffs, with San Diego eking out a 40-36 win over Arizona.
As the Strike Force look for their first IFL championship, they're taking a one-game-at-a-time approach.
"It all comes down to that you've been playing football all your life," quarterback Nate Davis said before last week's game . "It's just another game. You have to go out there and do your job. You don't need to put more pressure on yourself just because it's a playoff game. It's still another football game that you've been doing all your life, so you just go out there and do what you're supposed to and we'll be totally fine."
