Mike White’s Bulldogs are already playing a marquee out-of-conference tournament. Now we know that the conference slate isn’t going to be a whole lot easier.

The Bulldogs will host five tournament teams from last season and play eleven tournament teams in total, not a surprising total given that so many SEC squads made the tournament in 2025-26. And on the bright side, Georgia did get Oklahoma and South Carolina, who did not make the tournament, as two of the three SEC teams they’ll play twice on the year.
If the Dawgs can make it through that slate around .500 they should stand a reasonable chance of making the Big Dance for the third year running. Can they actually win their opening round game and advance instead of getting blown out for a third year in a row? That remains to be seen.
