The Eagles, who have made the playoffs for five straight seasons, have high expectations, but also several question marks. That begins with a new offensive coordinator in Sean Mannion, who is tasked with replacing the production from wide receiver A.J. Brown, who was traded to New England in June.

In addition, the Eagles are also working in as many as three new starters on defense, beginning with edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, whom the Eagles traded for in April.
All of this will take time. That work begins in training camp. The Eagles also have three preseason games leading up to roster cut-down day on Aug. 30. That's when the Eagles, like every NFL team, have to trim their roster from 90 players down to 53.

The Eagles reported to training camp on July 28 to the news that star defensive tackle Jalen Carter is signing a four-year extension through the 2031 season worth as much as $152 million, with $106 million guaranteed. The average annual value of $38 million is the highest for a defensive tackle in NFL history, surpassing the $35 million AAV recently signed by the Titans' Jeffery Simmons.

When does Eagles training camp begin?
The Eagles are holding their first training camp practice on July 29 at the Jefferson Health Training Complex (formerly NovaCare Complex) beginning at 10 a.m.
When can public watch Eagles practice?
The sessions at the Jefferson Health Training Complex are closed to the public, although selected season ticket holders and corporate sponsors are invited to attend. The Eagles are holding one open practice for the public. That will take place Tuesday, Aug. 25, 6 p.m., at Lincoln Financial Field.
Tickets are $15 through ticketmaster.com, and parking is free. Proceeds benefit the Eagles' Autism Foundation.
What is Eagles' preseason schedule?
The Eagles have three preseason games. The first is Aug. 15 at Baltimore, at 7 p.m. The second is Aug. 22 at New England, also at 7 p.m. The third and final game is on Aug. 29 at Lincoln Financial Field against the Cincinnati Bengals at 8 p.m.
In addition, the Eagles will have two joint practice sessions with the New England Patriots. Those are on Aug. 19 and 20 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
