The Odyssey’ Comes Home in November

Before Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey actually hit theaters, eager fans showed a near-obsessive desire to watch it in the biggest and best format possible. The luckiest movie junkies lived in cities where 70mm IMAX screenings happened—and where the stars aligned so that they were actually able to get tickets . But the playing field is about to level for The Odyssey , with a home release date now set for November 17.

That date, as Variety reports, will mark The Odyssey 's arrival on digital for rent or purchase, as well as its debut on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray—a bit of a switch from the usual procedure of hitting digital first, then physical a few weeks or months later. Another unusual note is that The Odyssey opened back in mid-July, meaning it will have spent a longer-than-average time in theaters before getting a home release.
