The college football season is right around the corner, which means preseason awards and honors are being handed out. That included The Athletic's preseason All-Big Ten teams . Two Spartans were named to The Athletic's All-Big Ten teams -- return specialist Kenneth Williams Jr. and offensive lineman Trent Fraley.
Williams was selected to the second team, while Fraley was a third team selection. Both are entering their first season with the Spartans after transferring into the program this past season.
Williams comes to Michigan State from Nebraska, where he built up a name for himself in the return game. He is expected to step in and make an instant impact for the Spartans in special teams.
Fraley comes from FCS powerhouse North Dakota State. He was one of the Spartans' top wins in the transfer portal market and will start as an interior offensive lineman this fall.
