Indiana Fever fans have long admired Caitlin Clark and Flau’jae Johnson’s relationship. Clark and Johnson have maintained their dynamic despite their battles in college. On Tuesday, Clark’s gesture towards Johnson after the Indiana Fever’s 105-95 win against the Seattle Storm won everyone’s hearts.
The superstar guard seemingly asked Johnson to keep her chin up after a rough game. The rookie finished with 16 points, but shot a measly 26.7% from the field and was 0-for-6 from long distance. Johnson’s night also wrapped up slightly early after she committed her sixth foul on Clark with 1:15 left in the game.

After seeing Clark’s gesture, several Fever fans dropped heartfelt comments on her relationship with Johnson.
“You shoulda been a fever four I’m sorry, I’ll never forgive you Amber,” one fan said.
The fan was referring to the Fever not trading up to select Johnson in the 2026 draft. Indiana stayed at No. 10 and drafted Raven Johnson.

Caitlin Clark has been on a tear against the Storm this season
The Storm have been Caitlin Clark’s favored opponents. The Fever star scored 32 points and dished seven assists in Tuesday’s win. Clark shot 9 of 14, including 4 of 7 from three-point range and 10 of 10 from the free-throw line.
In her last game against the Storm on Jul. 17, Clark had a career-high 45 points with 10 assists. She shot 11 of 18, including 6 of 10 from deep. Indiana won that game 110-107 after a clutch effort from Clark.
When Clark and the Fever met the Storm for the first time on May 17, she had 21 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists on 50.0% shooting in an 87-78 win.
Overall, in these three games, Caitlin Clark has averaged 32.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 9.0 assists, shooting 59.5%, including 57.1% from three-point range and 94.7% from the free-throw line.
