See the full story · 1 sourcesThere has been a lot of talk about the new Buffalo Bills Highmark Stadium which was revealed over the weekend with the Bills hosting a public practice session, but the best part of it was that Kim Pegula, 57, wife of Bills and Sabres owner Terry Pegula and mom of tennis pro Jessica Pegula , was present.
Pegula has been rarely seen since suffering a cardiac arrest shortly after her 53rd birthday in June 2022. That incident occurred six months before Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals. Pegula continues to deal with long-term issues associated with her medical emergency.

Pegula’s prognosis
With her mom’s health issues kept close to the vest for months, Jessica Pegula broke her silence and wrote a piece on February 7, 2023 for The Players’ Tribune . Pegula explained that her mom was unresponsive for “quite a while” after the cardiac arrest. Jessica also said that her sister Kelly administered life-saving CPR to her mother.

Jessica went on to say her mom suffers from “significant memory issues. She can read, write, and understand pretty well, but she has trouble finding the words to respond.”
Kim was the President of the Bills/Sabres organizations at a time when women were not occupying those roles in the NFL .
She continues to inspire the players and the city when she comes to events.

Highmark Stadium
Pegula’s rare public appearance at the new Highmark Stadium signifies what a big deal this new stadium, discussed and in development for years, is for the organization and the city. It has received a mixture of thumbs up and down ratings. Among the issues that fans do not like are the plentiful obstructed view seats and the small screens.
