The Green Bay Packers moved on from Romeo Doubs, the team's leading receiver last season, along with Dontayvion Wicks, and instead gave a four-year, $110.5 million extension to Christian Watson to take over as the undisputed WR1. Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden will also be key parts of the offense, but the most dangerous pass catcher in Green Bay is still Tucker Kraft.
The Packers tight end ranked first among all tight ends in yards per reception (15.3), second in receiving touchdowns (six), and third in receiving yards (489) through Week 9 — when he tore his ACL. He spent the entire offseason rehabbing the injury, and the coaching staff has repeatedly emphasized that he's making good progress and is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 season.
Kraft took a major step forward on Friday, with the Packers activating him from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list ahead of practice. Head coach Matt LaFleur noted, however, that Kraft will only take part in individual drills and walkthroughs for now — he's not yet cleared for 11-on-11 work.

It's still early in training camp, but this is massive news for a team looking to rebound from 2025. Green Bay went just 4-6 after Kraft went down in Week 9, finishing the season 9-7-1. That was still good enough to sneak into the postseason, only for the Packers to fall to the rival Bears in the Wild Card Round.
Kraft is entering a contract year, and getting back to full speed wouldn't just help him secure a new deal — it could help push the Packers back to the top of the NFC North.
