The Broncos brought in veteran Sam Webb and undrafted rookie Ricardo Hallman, according to the NFL's transaction wire. Webb (6-0, 194 pounds) has spent time with four NFL teams, most recently playing for the Cleveland Browns in 2025. The 28-year-old defensive back totaled eight tackles, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in seven games (two starts) with the Browns last fall.
Webb entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri Western with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. He dressed for all 17 games as a rookie (with three starts), recording 36 tackles, three pass breakups and one forced fumble. Webb has played in 36 regular season games in his career.

Rookie cornerback Blake Cotton left Wednesday's practice with an undisclosed injury and he did not practice Thursday. That might explain why the Broncos are looking at free agent defenisve backs.
