Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has officially been ranked as the highest quarterback, according to the annual NFL Top 100 list.
Last week, Allen was among the five players left to be ranked after the league hit Number 95. The others: Matthew Stafford, the only other quarterback left on the list, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Miles Garrett, and Bijan Robinson.

On Monday, wide receiver Smith-Njigba got the nod. This morning it was Matthew Stafford listed at number four:

That leaves Allen as the only quarterback left on the list.
Allen finished the 2025 season with 3668 yards and 25 touchdowns. His 102.2 passer rating was fifth best in the NFL – behind Lamar Jackson (103.8), Jared Goff (105.5), Matthew Stafford (109.2), and Drake Maye (113.5).
While many thought Maye should get the NFL’s MVP honor, that went to Stafford. Now, Allen has beaten them both out for the NFL’s final 2025 honor. Instead of talking heads making the decisions, players are. And we can assume, this means that NFL players fear Allen much more than Maye who finished at 11.
Remember, before the 2024 season, an ESPN article that surveyed 100-plus players listed Allen as the most overrated quarterback. He proceeded to win the NFL MVP that season. Last year, Allen was listed at No. 3 on this very list.
While we await his final placement, Bills fans can laud, taunt, relish, or however you choose to celebrate (aka rubbing it in to those rivals to our east), the fact that the best quarterback in the league plays in Buffalo.
