“It’ll just change the tempo of the period. Without the pads, you’re not wrapping. We’re not going to be tackling to the ground on Monday. We’ll be doing what we call wrap and release,” said head coach John Harbaugh. “We’re trying to stop the ballcarrier if we can on defense and get the pads behind us on offense, things like that. I’m sure inside will be a little more physical than it is out here without the shoulder pads. It just ramps up just a little bit. But other than that, everything will be exactly the same.”
Fans will not be allowed at practice Monday or Tuesday.
Be sure to come back after practice for a breakdown what happened. Check YouTube for video updates.
[ NOTE: The Giants are not allowing live tweeting during practice. We will post pre-practice videos and photos as possible, and get actual practice footage, photos, and information to you as quickly as we can once practice concludes. In the meantime, check our Training Camp Hub Page for coverage you may have missed.]

Uneven practice for Giants on both sides playing through 40-minute driving rain. Changing cleats, visors Too many pre-snap penalties. Strong days: Arvell Reese, Micah McFadden, Holland and Nubin Dart with another 50-yard completion to Malachi Fields Colton Hood likes to hit

Flip-side, strong day for the Giants defense. First-round pick Arvell Reese again had a strong practice. He was all over the field against the run and even had a sack after beating Andrew Thomas. https://t.co/BsqIpiOo1B

Rough day for the Giants offense in the pouring rain on the first day with full pads. Ridiculous number of penalties, struggle to gain yards and one ball slipped out of Jaxson Dart's hand as he was throwing that resulted in an easy Jevon Holland INT. Couldn't get anything going…

Giants just wrapped up one of the sloppiest training camp practices I can remember. In fairness, the middle stretch of practice was conducted in torrential rain. Also in fairness, there was an excessive amount of pre-snap penalties on both sides of the ball that happened before…

Positive news from Giants camp: Owner John Mara was at practice most of the week and by all accounts is feeling and doing well. Mara announced a cancer diagnosis last year. Sporadically attended games and practices throughout the season as he underwent treatment.
