The Minnesota Lynx certainly did not look worn down playing the second part of back-to-back games while playing the Dallas Wings on Sunday.
Kayla McBride scored a career-high 43 points in the Lynx’s 103-90 win over the Wings. McBride shot 16-for-21 from the floor, knocking down 10 of 14 3-pointers for a WNBA record. Sunday’s performance was the seventh time this season McBride has hit four or more shots from behind arc.

Olivia Miles added 20 points (hitting 5-of-8 3s) with 13 assists, while Naphessa Collier scored 17 in addition to 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 block.
With the win, the Lynx improved their record to 27-7 and became the first WNBA team this season to clinch a playoff spot. Minnesota holds a 3.5-game lead for the league’s No. 1 seed over the Golden State Valkyries and is 4.5 games in front of the Las Vegas Aces with 10 games remaining on its regular-season schedule.
Speaking of the Aces, coach Becky Hammon rested A’ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young following up Saturday’s matchup with the Lynx and lost badly to the New York Liberty, 111-71 . Despite also playing a back-to-back, Minnesota kept all of its star players in the lineup with four of its five starters playing 31 minutes or more.
