Welterweight champion Islam Makhachev is chasing the longest winning streak in UFC history this weekend in a battle with challenger Ian Machado Garry in UFC 330. The Russian fighter lost just one UFC bout — all the way back in 2015 — before ascending to become one of the promotion's all-time greats. He's currently tied with Anderson Silva for the most consecutive UFC wins at 16.
But Ian Machado Garry is a worthy contender for Makhachev. The 28-year-old Irishman has also lost just one fight in his MMA career, although it came more recently in 2024 against Shavkat Rakhmonov. However, he bounced back last year with two unanimous decision wins over Carlos Prates and Belal Muhammad.
UFC 330 will also deliver a co-main women's strawweight title fight between champion Mackenzie Dern and Gillian Robertson. Dern picked up the belt in the fall with a unanimous decision victory against Virna Jandiroba.

Makhachev is unsurprisingly the favorite in tonight's main bout. As of writing, the Russian fighter has a -360 moneyline against Machado Garry's +260.
Makhachev vs. Machado Garry isn't the only exciting bout on the menu this Saturday.
