NFL WR rankings: Arizona Cardinals in middle of pack
The Arizona Cardinals and their fans are excited about the offense entering 2026. They believe the passing numbers can be very good, much like they were over the final half of last season. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett led a prolific passing attack in which tight end Trey McBride was second in the NFL in receptions and set a single-season record for catches by a tight end. Michael Wilson had over 1,000 yards. And they still have the promise of Marvin Harrison Jr.
That should mean that they would have a highly ranked group of pass catchers entering the 2026 season, right?
Nope.
PFF ranked all 32 teams' receiving corps . The Cardinals were only 15th.
The Cardinals’ roster doesn’t do much right, but not many questions can be asked of their passing options. Trey McBride is statistically the best pass-catching tight end in football. Meanwhile, Michael Wilson caught six touchdowns in the last six games of last season, and rookie Jeremiyah Love will bring an additional receiving threat out of the backfield. This squad forced 94 missed tackles on receptions last year, 15 more than any other team. Uncertainty remains over Marvin Harrison Jr.’s long-term prospects.
McBride alone should put them in the middle of the pack.
Now, Wilson's production largely came when Harrison was out. We have not seen both Harrison and Wilson put up productive numbers while on the field at the same time, but the Cardinals should have a more modern passing attack under head coach Mike LaFleur.
Harrison's season in 2025 was derailed by injuries — a concussion, appendicitis and heel injuries.
Preseason rankings don't really mean anything, but they do bring up emotions for fans. If this team functions as it could, this group of pass catchers will outperform this ranking in 2026.
