— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 25, 2026 The former third-round Chiefs draft pick in 2017 has rushed for 5,775 yards with 55 touchdowns in his 121 career games. Last season, Hunt averaged 3.7 yards per attempt, and in short-yardage situations he converted a league-best 34 of 40 short-yardage attempts into first downs.
Former Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco notably signed with Detroit in the offseason, so there could be a Kansas City reunion. Hunt and Isiah Pacheco led the team in rushing last season, with Hunt finishing with 611 yards and Pacheco with 462 yards.
The Chiefs have fully revamped their running backs room, but fans will always appreciate the past ball carriers.
