Three people were shot blocks from the Cook County Criminal Courthouse Tuesday evening, according to Chicago police.
Someone inside a tan sedan fired shots, striking three men in the 2400 block of South Washtenaw Avenue at 8:44 p.m., police said.
A 21-year-old was shot in the head and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said. A 27-year-old man was shot in the head and listed in critical condition, and a 22-year-old was shot in the leg and was listed in good condition; both were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital.
About two hours earlier, another man was shot in the 2700 block of West 25th Street at 6:33 p.m. while standing in front of a home, police said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition.
No one is in custody related to either shooting, police said.
