In the recent top 100 rankings of NFL players, which have been rolled out over the past month or so, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye found himself coming in at No. 11.
This is a big honor for a younger player like Maye and shows what players across the league think of him.
There's a reason why many believe that the Patriots have a chance to be one of the top teams in the NFL once again this season, and Maye is a big piece of that.
Maye has always said the right things and has never made it seem like he disrespects anybody on the field.
He plays hard, gives credit when it's due, and does other things that suggest he's a good guy on and off the field. That seems to have earned him appreciation from others, including Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who speaks very highly of the young man, per his teammate, Dalton Kincaid.
“I heard it probably more from Josh, you know, with just the amount of respect he has for him. And, you know, a guy of Josh’s caliber, you know, former MVP. I think you listen to what he has to say,” Kincaid said , H/T FanSided.
A guy like Allen praising Maye shows the respect he's getting from peers around the league.
There's a strong argument that Allen is the best quarterback in the NFL, and considering he's the biggest piece of the Patriots' top rival, it's nice to see this level of appreciation.
On the field, it's all business, but a lot of these guys have respect for one another off of it.
