Jaylen Brown clears the air about his relationship with Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum.
For nine seasons, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown did everything in their power to help the Boston Celtics. It ultimately resulted in the C’s winning the 2024 NBA Championship.
One would assume that the organization would love to keep its two best stars on the roster together for as long as possible.
However, the Celtics strangely decided to send Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers in one of the biggest trades in NBA history.

Jaylen Brown says he’s ‘not really’ on talking terms with Jayson Tatum
During Brown’s introductory press conference, he was asked about his honest thoughts on Tatum, including if he wanted to continue their partnership in Boston.
“Um, no. We won a championship together. So, anybody that you win a championship with you’d think like that’s what brotherhood or a lifelong legacy would entail,” Brown said.
He added, “Obviously, there are ups and downs in any kind of relationship, but on my end, there’s nothing but respect, besides when he plays the Sixers, I hope he does well.”
Upon being asked if he is still on speaking terms with Tatum, Brown had a short but direct answer for the media.
“Not really,” Brown stated with a straight face.
Despite spending nearly a decade together, Brown and Tatum’s partnership has seemingly ended on a sour note.
That was visible through Tatum’s generic farewell message to Brown, and now the 76ers star has confirmed the two stars aren’t even talking to each other since the blockbuster trade.
