Here’s what’s new.

iOS 27 is packed with big Apple Intelligence upgrades, including the new Siri AI , powerful editing tools in Apple Photos , improved image generation features, and more.

While these features will be free to all users, some of them will have daily usage limits—and those limits will be higher depending on your Apple One tier.

Some Apple Intelligence features, including image generation, have daily usage limits because they rely on powerful server models. Increased access is available with most iCloud+ subscription plans

We don’t yet know the specifics of how much higher the AI usage limits will be. But every Apple One plan includes iCloud+, and recent evidence suggests a progressive increase with each higher tier.

Another iCloud+ perk, HomeKit Secure Video, is getting four new features in iOS 27. Per Apple :

Each of these improvements will be available to all Apple One subscribers once iOS 27 ships. You’ll just need to have a compatible smart camera and home hub. My recommendations include:

Finally, Apple Music is getting a variety of new features and improvements in iOS 27 too.

Additionally, Lyrics Translation and Lyrics Pronunciation are expanding to more languages. Per Apple :

Lyrics Translation will expand to seven new language pairings, seamlessly translating the lyrics from users’ favorite tracks from English to French, English to German, English to Italian, English to Korean, English to Spanish, French to English, and Japanese to English. […]

Lyrics Pronunciation, which enables users to sing along when lyrics are in another language, will also expand to include five new pairings, including Arabic to Romanized Arabic, English to Hangul, English to Katakana, Japanese to Hangul, and Mandarin Chinese (simplified) to Katakana.

Apple also highlights some key bug fixes that result in improved streaming reliability, faster Now Playing view loading, faster playback start, and more.
