Another major change is reportedly coming to one of NASCAR’s three national series.
NASCAR is finalizing a multi-year agreement with FedEx Freight to become the entitlement sponsor of the Truck Series beginning in 2027, according to Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic , who broke the news Wednesday.
The reported agreement would put an enormously familiar NASCAR brand atop the series while ending Craftsman’s latest run as its title sponsor.
Bianchi reported that NASCAR granted anonymity to sources who spoke about the negotiations and that the agreement is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
Financial terms are not yet known. But according to The Athletic’s report, NASCAR had been seeking a deal worth in the low eight figures annually, a figure that includes purse payouts, rights fees and activation surrounding the partnership.
If finalized, the agreement would mark the Truck Series’ first entitlement sponsor change since Craftsman returned to the role in 2023.
