Roma, Monza discussing terms of Ziolkowski’s loan
Roma continues to work on Morato, the 2001-born Brazilian defender from Nottingham Forest, identified by Tony D’Amico as the replacement for Jan Ziolkowski, who is set to leave the capital for greater consistency.
The Pole is increasingly close to joining Monza, but before definitively authorizing his departure, Gasperini wants to have another center-back available.
This is why Roma has accelerated the move for Morato in the last few hours. A preliminary agreement has reportedly already been reached with the Brazilian, while a final agreement with Nottingham Forest remains to be reached. The deal D’Amico is working on is a loan with an option to buy.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the overall value could be around €15 million, with the option to become a contract obligation under certain conditions. Forest, however, has yet to give final approval to the structure proposed by Roma.
Once the Morato deal is finalized, Ziolkowski’s move to Monza could also be unblocked.
According to Corriere della Sera, a loan deal is being worked on for the Polish defender, with a specific formula tied to his appearances: the more the defender plays, the lower the fee Monza will have to pay Roma. This is a way to incentivize the youngster’s continued use and allow him to gain experience without losing control.
